Home Sick for the Big East Tournament

I finally cried "uncle" today and stayed home from work with this cold. I seem to be getting worse daily, so I also went in and saw the PA at my doctor's office. She diagnosed it as a viral infection. So that means lots of rest and fluids today and probably tomorrow. However, considering that the men's Big East Basketball Tournament is on ESPN all day today, this is one well-timed viral infection! I am already watching the Villanova/Georgetown game, and UConn plays West Virginia at 2:00. My dh is going to be jealous! I just hope I feel well enough soon to pick up a project. At the moment, I seem to be a little unfocused on that front.

Sorry you're not feeling well, but that is a well-timed illness! I saw a news story on the web about a vasectomy clinic that is promoting snips next Wednesday so men will have March Madness to keep them entertained while they recuperate.

Sorry you're sick, I completely understand. I was home from work all week sick. Still congested but feeling better. Had the fever and chills, sore throat, headache, and stiff neck. Not fun. My job is one that I'm on the run, on my feel all day in front of group of 24 people one group after another. So, it's really not possible to go in when one doesn't have a voice or energy etc.

Saw your post on Homespun Helpers that you'd been to my blog; but I didn't see a note on my blog. Which brings me to a question I've wondered about for some time. When I blog hop, as I often to in an effort to see more, meet more people etc.; it's not uncommon for me to post a note in 2 or 3 areas on someones's blog. I've actually though never known if they see them? Is there any notification process by which we know if someone's posted a note on an older blog of ours? Yahoo there was and on multiple there is; but I've not figured that out here on blogger? That was one of the questions I posted there, hoping someone could answer for me. It occured to me the other day, that I leave lots of notes for folks; but never know if they see them. You know scroll down, see something of interest read and comment.

I started my blogger blog long ago, but found it hard to use because back then you had to mess with the coding page. So, I then became active elsewhere; and am now getting back into blogger. I see they've made it much more user friendly than it used to be. And, I'm findng a lot folks interested in our craft here now then before. So, am trying to learn things.

Thanks for your compliment. My goal last year was 100 and I reached it and beyond so thought I should challenge myself this year; but I'm feel behind and so perhaps I over reached. We shall see. Maybe though the new group will help keep me movitated. Hope so.

Could I ask another, sorta technical question. You've got lots of groups links etc. on your profile page, so I'm betting you're better at this stuff than I am. Normally while on a blog you can click on someone's name and go to their blog/profile page; for some reason on Homespun Helpers no ones name is a link? So if I'm reading a post from someone who's shown a picture of their goodies, with a note that says direction or more information on my blog and click on their name to go their blog it doesn't work. Instead you have to check the name, scroll over to the members area and find them there then click and then you get to their page. It really seems odd and slows down the process. Is there some setting involved, at that end; or is it something I can adjust?

I left you several notes on your varioius blogs/groups yesterday. Didn't know which one was your blog until looking again today, and think I've got it here now.

lol
Have a great weekend, this was a long post; but asking questions is how I learn.
Thanks
Sandy

Thanks bunches for the explanations and directions Priscilla, I appreciate it and think I'm getting a handle on things. I can't decide if I like moderated comments in order to get the email notice. Have to give that some thought. I'm always a little disappointed when I hit a page that has that, seems part of the fun is everyone reading the comments and sometimes the conversation is more like a group; but...I also didn't know people did it to control spam. That makes good sense. I've been luck, never had any with any of my blogs.

Again I appreciate your explaining about the links and stuff, very helpful!

Take Care and enjoy the rest of the wkend.
